We are very excited to welcome Agent Moosehead and Air is Human to our new stage. You may recognize Agent Mooshead as they have regularly performed on the porch during our anniversary parties. They've invited their friends, Air is Human to join them for a night of mind melting progressive rock.
Philadelphia's dank, hairy, oily jazz underbelly yields many unknown innovative groups performing works of groundbreaking sonic expression. all too often these groups go unnoticed on the agendas of most philly hipster youth on their way to dance parties or trips to see their emo pop favorites spouting out their anthems.
Casting aside these defeating propositions, Agent Moosehead, and many others, continue to try to push the boundaries of that four letter word (J-A-Z-Z) and explore avenues that some may just be too cool to travel down with them.
Air is Human is a group from Philadelphia, comprised of Josh Aptner and Jeff Lucci. The duo formed in late 2011 and finished their debut EP “The Infinity Limit” by 2012. In 2015, four EPs were released in sequence with the changing of seasons; on each equinox and solstice. Air is Human create their unique sound by drawing from an eclectic combination of influences, including bands like Radiohead, Boards of Canada, The Mars Volta, and Talk Talk. Their live sound is intense, with layered Rhodes and guitars set against driving, and sometimes dance like percussion. They think Nelson Cline is kind of a weener.
